On the Edge of Extinction
Trees, plants, rocks, soil and water are habitats for many animals. Habitat loss results when trees and other plants in an area are cleared away so cities, homes, road and highways can be built. When plants and animals lose their habitats, they may become endangered or extinct. There are things you can do to help plants and wildlife! National Telephone Day is Friday, April 25
The Albert Lea Public Library does have some printed phone books for Minnesota, several for Iowa and two for South Dakota. In this day of computers, you can readily access telephone numbers and addresses on the computer. Dex, who publishers the regular yellow and blue phone book, has a website, http://www.dexknows.com/. The Ultimatewhite and Yellow Pages, http://www.theultimates.com/white/, searches six websites at once when you enter name, city and state. If you know only the phone number, you can do a reverse search and find the person's name and address.
